Q. Introduce yourself in one sentence

An enthusiastic chatterbox who’s a fan of influencer trends, weekend movie marathons and copious amounts of tea!

Q. How long have you been at Ceres? What’s your role?

Just under 2 years. I’m an Account Manager who gets to dive in to both the PR and Digital world, as well as leading on Ceres’ influencer activity.

Q. How did you get into PR/Digital/Content Creation? What made you want to choose it as a career?

When studying a Media and Journalism degree at University, I was told that I could sell ice to an eskimo and had I ever considered a job in PR – with the lure of being able to talk, write and be creative, I was sold! Without knowing what I wanted to do after University I took the jump into the PR world (where I didn’t know what to expect) and it suddenly all made sense! I quickly realised that this crazy world of media, events and social media was definitely for me.

Q. What’s your favourite part of the job?

The excitement of not knowing what each day ahead of you holds. One day I could be spending my time pitching to some of the nation’s best journalists, the next I could be working with the Digital team on social media content which will shape an entire campaign. Also, of course, the coverage! There’s no better feeling than being able to hold a magazine or newspaper which features a client and be able to physically see your hard work come alive in front of you.

Q. What’s a stand out piece of coverage/content you have been a part of that you’re proud of?

I started at Ceres as an Account Executive who didn’t necessarily have the most consumer experience (I was at a B2B agency before) and I remember my first major piece of coverage was a double page spread in S Magazine (Sunday Express) for the College of Podiatry. It was the first time I had that real proud moment that I had been a part of producing a fantastic piece so is still to this day one of my favourite pieces.

Q. What’s been your best Ceres moment? 

Ooh, it’s so hard to pin it to just one! Every week I seem to have a fun moment – whether it’s belly laughing with the team over something funny somebody has said or being able to produce great results for my clients. If I had to pick just one though it would have to be …working on the Milk & More Milkman of the Year campaign in 2018 when we had a milkman on the Vanessa Feltz Breakfast show for BBC London – it was an experience and a half!

Q. If you could work with any brand in the world, who would it be and why?

Disney! You know those weekend movie marathons I mentioned? There is always a Disney film top of the list! As they say, it’s the most magical place in the world which could only mean it would be the most magical job also!?

Q. What’s your favourite dish?

BBQ fajitas with extra sour cream and homemade guacamole – it’s a staple weekend dish in my household!

Q. If you were stranded on a desert island, what would be the one item you’d take?

Dare I say it… my phone? Purely just for my podcasts! I am a BIG podcast fan (especially true crime and comedy) and even better, they can be downloaded so no need for the internet!
