Marine Farms

Ceres worked with Marine Farms, an acknowledged aquaculture market leader, to launch farmed cobia to the European market. Cobia is being farmed to European standards off the coast of Vietnam, where Marine Farms applied their experience and expertise to build a pioneering seafood and aquaculture facility.

Cobia can be cooked in many different ways including poaching, grilling and frying. Its mild flavour and firm texture mean it is also ideal for use in sashimi and sushi.

A PR campaign to support cobia's European launch included tradeshow support, stunning photography for use in trade and consumer media and PR and marketing planning for the new brand. A strapline 'The First Fish of the 21st Century' was used across all activity.

Ceres designed a new campaign website www.cookingwithcobia.co.uk which was launched in Summer 2010 featuring recipes, videos and information about the production of cobia. Recipes were created for the campaign by top chef Maria Elia.
