Ceres has been re-appointed to handle the PR for the Royal Show 2009. The event is England’s premier agricultural show, and will take place at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire between the 7th and 10th July.
This year will see a number of exciting innovations designed to make the event even more appealing for those involved in agriculture or rural businesses, as well as consumers who are interested in country living. These will include an expanded farmers’ market and food hall, and reorganisation of the show layout to make it more accessible. The show website and printed material have been totally re-designed for this year’s show.
“We are delighted to be working with the team at the Royal Agricultural Society of England (RASE) again, “said Ceres’ Managing Director Jennifer John, “The Royal Show is really a fantastic day out for everyone. There will be great food, shopping and entertainment, but importantly it is an ideal networking opportunity for those involved with agriculture and food businesses.
“This year’s show will see an increased emphasis on locally-produced food, as well as being an important part of RASE’s continuing commitment to link consumers to British agriculture.
“Ceres has significant sector expertise through its work with RASE, and LEAF (Linking Environment and Agriculture) on Open Farm Sunday. We can justifiably claim to be leading the way in promoting British agriculture to a wider audience. Combined with our passion for good food and knowledge of the food supply chain, we are ideally placed to promote the Royal Show’s three themes of Food, Farming and Rural Life.”
Denis Chamberlain, Director of Communications for RASE said:” We have re-appointed Ceres following a competitive pitch. We choose Ceres for their strategic and creative approach, as well as their in-depth experience of food and farming.”
